The passive radiator of the MED house

Wood technology in construction is well received by the market. It is very precise, thanks to CNC machining and offers good performance at seismic forces. The only issue with wood construction is its lightness: it is useful for transportation and assembling, but it has mass values far from traditional masonry.

To make the walls of the house Med in Italy more efficient, we chose to include in the stratigraphy of the wall cavity that we filled with aluminum radiant tubes filled with sand, that ensure an adequate mass value to the wall providing values of thermal inertia and storage capacity comparable to those of a masonry, and increases at the same time the acoustic output, solving a classic problem of lightweight construction.

In the assemble we saddened at the thought of having to cover them, as they are beautiful!
