Madrid - Games are beginning
And they're off!
The Med in Italy Team left for Madrid and the house is already under construction at Villa Solar.
There are many tests and inspections to which the Team is subjected, so they will need as much as possible support from all of us!
In the period between the 13th and the 30th of September 2012 Villa Solar opens to the public and it will be possible to visit the houses that will compete during the Decathlon.
The inauguration will take place on September 13th at the presence of the Spanish Minister of Economic Development. The speech, that will be given exclusively to the decathletes and celebrities from the competition, will be followed by the Official opening ceremony of the Solar Decathlon Europe (13:00-15:00). Media visits are planned from 10:00 to 11:30 for filming.
The opening to general public will take place every weekend (10:00 -21:00) with free entry, and on Friday (16:00 - 21:30). Solar Decathlon also highly welcomes the participation of schools and universities. Group Public Visits can be arranged from the 24th until the 27th of September (16:00 - 19:30). For professionals, subject to registration and booking, it is possible to make extensive private visits of the houses. That will be from 17th to 20th of September from 4 pm until 7.30 pm.
In addition, the Team Med in Italy has organized specific events that will take place inside the house and that will be available by reservation.
For Sponsors and universities is eventually possible, by registering at this link, get a pass that facilitates movement within the Villa Solar.
The Final Competition Award will take place on Saturday the 29th (20:00-21:30) , during which the winner house will be announced.
