ES_1 Via Oderisi da Gubbio, zona Marconi. Barbara Vecchione

The first thing I decide to do is to change the prospective view in the assonometric one using the tab MANAGE. Then I set the unit of measure with MANAGE/PROJECT UNITS in meters. After that I opened the SET LOCATION setting and I insert my house address and I placed the map of my location with IMPORT IMAGE. I draw the perimeter of my house and of some arounding buildings, with the option LINE that we can find in the MODEL/CREATE MASS settings. To extrude the surface I used the directing arrow, setting the real height (3.50 m per floor). When I finished to create the volume I select FINISH MASS.Using the option SUN PATH ON I set the time and day (20/03/14 h8:15 a.m, 12:40 a.m) to study the shadow of the building, activating the option SHADOW ON. Finally I used the option CAMERA to make the same inclination of the pictures that I previously took, with EYE ELEVATION and TARGET ELEVATION I made the view like the one in the pictures.

The building that I study is located in Via Oderisi da Gubbio 232,Roma. My house is in a block divided in two volums: to study the shadows, i had to draw even the arounding buildings, that cast shadows on my house. I decide to study the backfront of my house, and i notice that in the time I choose (8.15a.m., 12.40 a.m.), the flat is always in shadow. In the reality that mean that during the day the two rooms in the backfront are always dark.

interesting, but if they are in shade, why do we see umbrellas
in one of the balconies? In fact, it looks like a facade with low radiation
but be more specific! In the afternoon? what happens? like now?
