Es_1 Lab_6 Analisi solare complesso residenziale Aprilia _ Marta Tommasi

For this first exercise, rather than analyze a single house, I decided to study the relationship that develops between a series of buildings that are at the heart of the city where I live, where among other things, there are two parks for public use.

This choice is dictated by the importance that I think should be given to the impact that buildings of this type have to  the city and its public spaces.

In the study I've done I put particular emphasis on the shadows produced late in the morning at 11.30 am and in the afternoon, at 14.30 pm. I chose these times because after some testing I found that the shadows were the most impressive of the day. The fact that emerges is that, given the height of the buildings, the shadows in the winter and spring are very deep, and many units are in the shade early in the afternoon.

In the images taken by Vasari, I tried to highlight the most appealing to me in the dance of shadows that is generated between these buildings.
Regarding the photo of verification, they relate only to 14.30.

The last two images of Vasari that are in sequence, refer to soltice summer and the winter 's. As can be seen in the summer the public area is fully exposed to the sun, especially during the hottest hours, and even most of the units do not enjoy the shade.
This makes it not only less comfortable life inside the home, and also  also take a walk in the park below does not create much confort.
In winter, on the contrary, most of the area is in the shade in the same hours, producing the opposite effect.

I do not live here, but the idea that I got through this quick analysis is that it is not very comfortable life in these buildings, and perhaps with greater attention to the orientation of these buildings many hardships could have been avoided.
Despite this, the light and shade that are generated in some places are quite striking.
