Features analyzed building: Building with four floors with a height of 4.00 meters and basement floor that is 5 meters in heigt. The overall height of the building, including the floor slabs, is 21.30 meters. The lot, made by Marotti’s firm between 1883 and 1907, has a courtyard with a low-rise building.

Step 1- open a new document

Step 2- click on PROJECT UNITS and convert the unit of measurement (feet to meters)

MANAGE > SETTINGS > PROJECT UNITS

Step 3- select the style of view ORTOGRAPHIC

MANAGE > VIEW > ORTOGRAPHIC

Step 4 - set the location of the area (go under the cube on the right and click on SET LOCATION) then import the site image

Step 5 - create volumes of his own building and those who are surrounding

MODEL > CONCEPTUAL MASS > 1-CREATE MASS 2-FINISH MASS

Step 6 - study the behavior of the sun (by clicking on the icon of the sun in the lower left) and select SUN PATH ON and SHADOWS ON, then on SUN SETTING select the days and the hours that you are going to analyze

As you can see in the photos and in the model, the final appearance is determined by the shadows produced by the surrounding buildings,because a side on the road is clear and the other is devoid of trees that could affect the final result
