ES 2-LAB 6- SOLAR ANALYSIS - IRENE CARPANETO

This second exercize deals with the analysis of solar radiation. Unfortunately the program Vasari doesn’t work very well on my pc because I can’t click on “Solar Radiation”, but I’ve tried the same to do my exercise. I studied the building at 2.00 p.m. in the winter solstice and summer solstice. Looking the image the north-est facade seems to be  always in the shadows so it would be probably to find elements of degradation and stains. I have verify my supposition and I noticed that the facade is in the shadow most of the day, but it is lighted by sun the for a few hour during the first morning. We can see the same problem in the central and most of all right part of the west façade.  During the summer solstice the central part of the façade  is lighted only after 4.00 p.m and during the winter solstice it is always in shadow. Instead the right part is always in shadows as in winter as in the summer. As I said in the first exercise, the west façade it is problematic because of its irregoulary form and its protruding body, so probably here we can find elements of degradation. Moreover  there will be the same problem also on the wall of the garage ramp because the sun doesn’t shine enough that  area.
