project vasari prima consegna

Project Vasari is a program made to analyze the performances of a building; but it is necessary to test the reliability of the simulation by verifying some data we can compare to a real situation. This is why our first step consist in comparing the virtual and the real shadows of the building before going on with the analysis.

First of all we have to set the location on the program and import in Project Vasari the aerial view of the place from Google Earth. Then we have to create the 3D model of the building using the "create a mass" tool and extruding the volume from the boundaries we traced over the imported image. Finally, we must simulate the sunlight in a specific moment of the day using the "set the sun" tool.

The last step consists in comparing the virtual data with the reality, taking a photo of the real shadows of the building at the same moment of the day (and obviously in the same day) as we set it in the virtual simulation.
