Introducing new uniforms by Rome Fashion Academy!
Published by Mafra on Fri, 23/03/2012 - 19:41In the context of the international competition Solar Decathlon Europe, teams have to provide the creation of the uniforms that students and teachers involved must wear in two weeks of competition in September in Madrid.
It is therefore thought to involve the Academy of Costume and Fashion, beginning a partnership that gave already results.
The Academy is one of the most known and important Academic Institutions in the fashion world. It conducts training activity for nearly fifty years, counting among his pupils some of the most important professionals in fashion and costume from Isabella Rossellini to Frida Giannini. The particularity of the teaching methodology is in the interpretation of the relationship between fashion and costume, by positioning the Academy as a center of culture for excellence in the quality of the education system and its students as established designers in the fashion industry and costume designers for large productions (nationally and internationally). The aim of the Academy is to train professionals to respond comprehensively to the needs of companies: research, style, design and product. The commitment from the Academy in nurturing and developing the creativity of his students find their roots in an efficient balance between "theory" and "practice" where experimentation, research and culture are the basic curriculum.
Working in team with Med in Italy, the Academy called a contest, attended by four groups of students. It was requested to draw proposals for work, day and evening man / woman uniforms.
Among four books was chosen the one of Crasi group (Piergiorgio Meschini, Marco Marrone, Antonella Domingo, Marzia Graziani, Virginia Parisi e Francesca Ricci) , whose intent was to create outfits to join their innovative, hi-tech and low environmental impact with values and forms of Italian fashion image. So they created an image that links traditional tailoring and avant-garde fabrics with modern and elegant shapes.
