For my lamp exercise I decided to make a model of LAMA's floor lamp project.

First I opened new family Metric Generic Model floor based. I drew profile of lamp's 'leg' with extrusion. Next to have the rest of legs I copied and rotaded every 45o the leg I drew. I used 'join geometry' to combine profiles together.

Next step was creating the lampshade. I made an extrusion on circle plan and blocked the reference line on the top to change the height manualy.

After lampshade I create a light bulb drawing the profile and using 'Solid Revolve' to have the inside of the bulb empty.

Next I created a light family. I opened new family Metric Lighting Fixture. In Light Source Definition I chose Photometric Web. Next I changed the characteristics of lamp in Family Types. I put the wattage 15 W and changed the Initial Color to 4000K. I loaded the light into family and located it inside   the bulb.

In the next step I chose materials for my lamp's elements. For the legs and profiles under the bulb  I chose aluminium and changed the color into black, for lampshade- Linen colored black and changed transparency to 50%, for the bulb i chose glass with 100% transparency.

The last step was to render the view of my lamp. I created a room with walls and ceiling in new project and loaded the family with my lamp. I located camera and create a view. Next, unfortunately, instead of clicking 'Show Crop Region' I clicked 'Render in Cloud' and then my Revit hang... Additionally I notice that I'm working in VIEWER MODE too late so I didn't have any saving of my work, so please for patience :) I'll do the exercise from the beginning other time
