In this first exercise, I examined the district in which is located the building where I live. The chosen area is located south of Rome in the Ostiense district. For the study of my building, I consider the first part of the Via Ostiense near railway station Pyramid. The intent was to analyze the sunshine and its shade at various times of the day, especially at noon and in the afternoon hours that are more exposed to solar radiation.
In the study I noticed that, for orientation towards the south of the Via Ostiense, much of the day the sun shines all the way, while the facades onto the street of the buildings remain poorly irradiated and they receive the light laterally. The presence of tall trees along the way helps to maintain a comfortable temperature for the passage of cars and pedestrians, especially in summer.
