Esercitazione2_Analisi Radiazioni Solari ( Quartiere Villa Bonelli ,Roma ) _Gaia Guiducci

This second exercise shows off the solar radiations that
affetcs buildings.
Using my previous Vasari's file I deleted
the lower map and drew a big rectangle that I extruded.
I added to my building some details that may influence
the warm absorption of the solar's rays.
After that I detailed my building (MODEL TAB -> clicked SHOW
-> clicked on SET and chose the plane to draw over -> CREATE MASS
-> SOLID FORM or VOID FORM)
I clicked on ANALYZE -> SOLAR RADIATION and I set up the seasons I
wanted to study : EQUINOXES and SOLSTICES. ( march 20th, september 22nd,
june 21st, december 21st. all at 2 p.m.)

I showed the South West facade that is most irradiated through the
whole year and shows that the roofs are mostly absorbent that the
other facades, although the balconies' projections aren't deep enough
to protect the underlying windows.
The South Est facade is almost protected by the proximity with the other
building.
The North facades are barely not irradiated so they stay freshier than other
facades in any season.
My building is covered with bricks that are hard to spoil, and it's been recently
renewed, so there aren't clear signs of direct solar radiations or umidity.
