VEGETATION ANALYSIS

In this post I want to study a tree that is dear to me: Citrus x sinensis. It is a kind of tree, that had always a happy union with the Architecture of my birthplace: Sicily

This happy bond is due to several reason, first of all for its beauty of colors. It is an evergreen tree and grows in climates consistently sunny and humid, so it is especially diffused in central and southern Italy, especially in Sicily. It has a limited height, does not exceed 8-10 meters, and it has a horizontal development more important. It is recommended to plant orange trees at a minimum distance of 5 meters, in order to avoid the intersection of the branches. As you can see from the picture, its foliage is very dense and does not allow the passage of light.

I modeled the tree on VASARI trying to infer the horizontal development, creating different circumferences to shape the profile.
