satellite view (img1)
In order to learn working with project Vasari I decided to develop the 3d model of a school in Val Melaina, professor Vidotto’s project area (img2). I had enough photographs to check the correct function of the shadows.
First, I put the area view in the Rvt file. I took 2 images because I wanted a less-pixelated frame. (img3)
Than, the 3d model of the school. I took the right measures from the dwg file and used it because working only with the satellite image would have caused bad accuracy. Anyway, the final 3d model quite suites the background image. (img4)
After that, using the sun path, I put the data and hour of when the photo was taken and check that the shadows were correct.(img5/img6)
[EDIT] I add some more images that i made changing the day and the hour of the sun, in order to understand the shadow path (img7)
P.S. Before the first step, i changed the project units from inches to meters.(not sure you can check it from the images)
