1° step    I've imported the site image of the location I've choosen.

2° step    I've changed project units from feets to meters.

3° step    To create a mass I've drawn rectangular surfaces through lines. Then I've created the elements selecting lines or geometryes.

4° step    Selecting “Mass Floors” I've setted how many floors the building has got.

5° step    You can display your project in various ways selecting “Show mass” by view, form, surfaces and zones. Thanks to that options you are able to see and select different building's parts without difficulties.

6° step    To analyze the solar radiation you've got to turn on the sun path key. I've setted a specific date (05.04.12) and a time (14.00pm) in order to check the results of shadows paths with a building's photograph the same day at the same time.

Then I've tried to change some of the options to see how in winter soltice the lightning would move on.

7° step    With “Ecotect Solar Radiation” I've analized how surfaces are sundrenched according to sun position. Another study you can make is to take an average period (for example 2 months from 10.00 to 16.00) and see which faces get sun.

8° step   The last research concerns “wind's tunnel” and allows you to see, with different wind's directions and velocity, how your project is hit. You can also analize an average wind speed during a specific period with the “Ecotect Wind Rose”.

A second part of the study is to simulate the reality, seen in the photos, through the analysis of shadows created by buildings this days that we can generate with Vasari.
