The syte choosen by me, for a quickly study of the behavior of the sun and shadows come, is in Via Elio Vittorini, a Via in the EUR district. For this exercise we have had learn how to use this program, VASARI.
Vasary is a simple program that allows us to observe and study in a more or less realistic the movement of the sun and its consequences lighting compared to a building. is possible to use vasari in short and simples steps:
- set the misure units with meters
- set localization rispect the area choosen
- draws on the aerial photo the buildings

The solar analysis involves my apartment located on the 6th floor of a building in 144, Marconi Avenue. The building is located at the corner and is attached to other buildings that surround the street. Therefore it is an area composed mainly by buildings of 6 or 8 floors.

The apartment analyzed is located on the 5th floor of a building in G. Volpato Street, near the bridge of the Trastevere Station and Marconi Avenue. The building appears isolated in an area composed mainly by buildings of 6 or 8 floors. The east side face of the flat is on in G. Volpato Street, while the south one watches on a private street.

First I selected the state and the city. I created the edges and I extruded them.
Then I decided to study the shadows on one side of my building within three hours of the day 3/13/2014 :

Hi everybody!
In this first delivery we'll study how the sun path can affect building's efficiency.
As an example I'll calculate the sun path during the last weekend on my seaside home.
Usually, a house like this is used primarily during summer time, consequently the cooling of the interior is our main goal.
Let's get to the area!
