After the analyses of Via Tuscolano and the context of the area we are working on, we decided some design premises such as to maintain the average height of the zone and the commercial program there is in the first floor of almost every building.

Having these premises on mind and the good location of the area we are working on (which has access from via tuscolano and from the train station), the idea of creating a public space which articulates all the flows from the surrounding buildings makes the disposition of the different volumes of the project an important decision.

After the solar analysis made with Vasari in different times of the day (7hrs, 12hrs and 19hrs) and seasons of the year (winter and summer) in the zone we are studying, we can see the results and the effects on the buildings of our proposal. There are some areas that present problems due to the fact that the distance between the buildings is not enough to let the sun come through, therefore we will have to consider this in time to make the appropriate decision in the designing of the apartments inside each volumes.
