the issue of my survey comprises the affects of the sun on my building, that is located in Gazometro Street, 35, Rome.

-LOCAL SETTING. my first step was to identify the local setting of the building through the satellite view and then I drew the buildings' volume, starting from the map imported from google.

At first I converted the unit of measurement in the metric system , using the command MANAGE - PROJECT UNITS . Then I changed the location from the button below the cube orientation, pressing SET LOCATION and importing the aerial image of the area. I set the picture of the map on the base level, I pressed MODEL - CREATE MASS and then I  drew the perimeter of the buildings. Subsequently I created the volumes of buildings considering a height of 3 meters on each floor and 4 meters for the ground floors.

PROCEDIMENTO:

• cambio le unità di misura (MANAGE-PROJECT UNITS);
• controllare che la vista sia un’assonometria monometrica e non una prospettiva (MANAGE-ORTOGRAPHIC VIEW);
• selezionare l’indirizzo e importare l’immagine satellitare;
• creare le volumetrie (MODEL-CREATE MASS);
• imposto il soleggiamento e le ombre (SUN PATH e SHADOWS).

ANALISI:

L' area in studio comprende edilizie di 4-5 piani, di prevalenza rezidenziale, dove alcuni di questi edilize hanno paino seminterrato e terrazze con giardino.

L' edificio in cui vivo ha  una posizione privilegiata, con le sue finestre rivolte verso est e ovest, permette che  suoi appartamento sono bene iluminatti.

PROCESS

After create a new project on Vasari, you have to click on 'Manage' and then on 'project units' for change the units from inches to meters.
In order to work more easily , change the view by clicking always on 'Manage' and set the Orthographic view.
