The assignment is to build a simple model of an house as if it were designed for the international competition Solar Decathlon.
I start creating a simple mass of a cube with side lenght = 6m (it is the maximum height allowed by the competition rules). It is very important to work using reference planes. I will constrain the top of the building to the RP 'copertura' at +6m and I'll make another RP at +3m; I'll assign an intermediate floor to this plane.

Since we had to deliver promptly area calculations of materials that the manufacturer of our home have to order we had to model quickly each missing surface (these are mainly finishing materials).
Having lack of time and being it our only urgent need we chose to model family types as large as each wall.
In the example below I chose to show the north wall of the 3D Core that lacked of the finishing coating in wood

As I've stated in the previous article I've managed building's disposition in order to exploit solar radiation for heating in winter. So every building has a long facede south-facing and in every apartment, most important rooms are south-facing. As shown in the images below every building has an optimal solar radiation as in winter (image1) than in summer (image2).
