Open Vasari and select "new.." under Families

A window will open up, browse to "VAS 2014/family templates/US Metric/Conceptual Mass" and open "mass.rvt"

Part 1: Location

The project is located in via del Porto Fluviale, very close to the river, we should consider this as whether will be consistently more humid. Another element we'll have to look at a tall building just south of our area that will shade part of it for most of the day.

Performing solar radiation study

Esercitazione 2: Solar analysis

The house we're analysing is located in the northen part of Rome, which is also the highest part of the city, the climate conditions here are colder and more windy comparing to the rest of the city.

 

To perform a solar analysis click on "solar radiation" on the "analyse" menu. Remeber to change the unit of data display to kWh/m2.
