In this second exercise I used the composition of my building done for the first one but, this time, I enriched the palace with the system of balcony that strongly characterized the building elevation. I chose to analyze the solar radiation in two period of the year: the first one during all the summer season (from 21/06 to 22/09), and the second one during the winter period (from 22/12 to 21/03).

Ho avuto grandi problemi ad installare vasari, così ora vi consegno le due esercitazioni insieme. 

My apartment is situated in Via Latina, Appio Latino neighborhood, on the fourth floor of a building of five in front of Parco della Caffarella. The block is surrounded by three other blocks on the north,south and east side; the west side is in front of the urban park. My apartment is on the south side and it takesa lot of sun irradiation every day, especially my room that is on south-east side it's very hot in summer and a bit cold during the winter.

Per la seconda esercitazione sono partita dal modello 3d costruito in precedenza e ne ho modellato alcuni dettagli fondamentali per lo studio della radiazione solare, come le bucature e le falde della copertura. Come prima azione, però, ho creato un piano di lavoro estrudendo un rettangolo alla base del modello 3d.

This exercise will show how we can analyze quicly solar radiation with Project Vasari. The software gives us the chance to have the solar radiation analysis with precise values, and then to intersect it with solar shades study, to achieve knowledge about the precise climatic moods of our architectonical elements as walls and roofs, balconys and terraces and so on. Morewhever we can clearly find elements that suffer of a lot of umidity, in lack of solar radiation.
