 In this project we are supposed to design a building with a courtyard that includes 70 to 80 apartments of different sizes as well as services for the community. The area is located in Terni and surrounded by some experimental estates like the “villaggio Matteotti” (which was built by Giancarlo de Carlo in the 70s) on one hand and on the other hand by some of small buildings with low density. In the north the area is facing a street which connects two different estates which should also include a public square.

Our project area is located in Via del Porto Fluviale in Rome near our university. There is an interesting area because of the industrial buildings that has or has not reuse during the year. On the north side of the area there is the railway line over the main street, on the south there are the costum river houses,  on the east there is a warehouse and on the west side there is the firestation. 

The project is made up by a housing part and a commercial part. The area is located between viale Marconi and via Ostiense on via del Porto Fluviale, just near the Testaccio area and the Garbatella area. Inside theproject area we have ruins so the project will have to relate with them.

INTRODUZIONE

L'area di progetto presa in considerazione per questo progetto, è un'area situata nei pressi della stazione Trastevere, su via degli Orti di Cesare a Roma, che si presenta come una lunga striscia di terreno in corrispondenza di più curve di livello.
