is a course hosted by Roma Tre University
School of Architecture.

The course is focused on understanding the impact of advanced digital design technology on the real world of design and building industry. Our attempt is to link the interest for the most advanced digital techniques with the passion, the problems and the tradition of the day to day experience of design and construction.

We consider the increasingly large diffusion of sophisticated software and machinery as a chance and a challenge to build a special know-how on linking two issues too often considered as separate.

As a consequence the course hosts a wide range of contributors that include members of academia and researchers as well as designers, fabricators, experts of design technology and engineers.

The course staff is also founder of the network of Math-based courses within the School called: Laboratorio di Matematica www.formulas.it.

You can find a list of the other courses here.

We firmly believe in the central role of the web communities as learning environments and we publish all our work online.

As a consequence, networking activity by our community plays a crucial part in the course work, but we also encourage our students and staff to be actively part of the large world of communities dealing with similar topics.

On this website you can find all the work being developed and published dynamically by the community of contributors: students, teaching staff, partners, external tutors and consultants.

The home page always shows the most recent contribution. Other contents are ordered in tags and displaied in 2009 Heritage section
