At last, I publish the very first result of the analysis. It took a little bit long because the program is not very easy to use, moreover G.Bianchi had never used it like this.
In fact we have spent these first meetings to set it up.

In these images we are seeing the effect of the component in a 20 sm room. In this first analysis, the model is behaving as reflector. The colour indicates the EQUIVALENT LEVEL (dB) for each point of the abient.
The component has an influence in the EqL: in fact, it strenghten the sound, making it more intellegible (we were clearly expecting this, for Haas effect). However, this test has been made just to begin. It's not possible indeed to work on geometrical acoustic only, since the performances are strictly related with the distance source-listener.


In fact, this is the behaviour of the component in a only-reflecting configuration.
I realize now that i need a more accurate model (including a schedule for the amount of wood).
Since we need the ambient's effects  on the component negligible, we will start working on diffusion tomorrow.

Today we discovered that the program does not map by itself the whole ambient: it's indeed necessary to specify it, otherwise it just analizes the (two) listening points and interpolates all the other points -unbeliavable. Therefore, the results are the same, but the overall acoustics of the room is significantly different from the picture. I'll be writing more about this tomorrow.
