I have got an idea to solve my problem.
The idea concerns a new constructive sytem, which is strictly related with the examples proposed during the last lesson. I reckon this could be the right constructive concept, because it includes a changing shape, a ribs+spine structure anf the use of Reflection Phase Grating.
The final object is intended to be in a club or local, not in a house (it shouldn't be cost-competitive with an home theater system)
This contructive system is composed by 4 components:
1_Spines : all the system will be beared by 4 (or 5) elements
2_Ribs: stiff jointed to the spines. They bear the RPGs.
3_RPG panels: to gain acoustic response it is necessary to use RPGs. I'm going to cut them from a 4 layered devoto's board (16cm deep).
4_Sitting (to be tought and designed)
All the system is intended to be built up using stiff joints only. Most of the elements have to be milled, something that devoto's machineries can do extremely well.
I publish some sketches.
In order to start the acoustic analysis (today-in an hour...), I've produced the usual Study Model, as simple as i could. Since the software for th acoustic analysis works on 3d mesh, I'm interested in medeling the acoustically intesting surfaces only.
1_Reference Geometry
I started setting the usual geometry, drawn on two levels, the n-th and the n+1-th. I'm using the usual MARKER-strategy. There are much less parameters defining this model, because of the constructive siystem(the difficolt will be to model the constructive system..)
2_Reference Mass
I lofted a Mass, and use its surfaces to extrude what are intended to be the RPG panels' surfaces.
3_Project
Instead of nesting a family I attach this componet in a new project (I'm inteded to start sheduling as soon as i can): here they are some examples (plane, concave and convex surfaces).
The model is alive, as usual. Changing the formula in the family i obtain a new shape.
Now i'm ready to test the model.

And now let's see the tests!
Ok Marco,
I look forward to see images or data from the first tests!

Not so easy
Testing is far more complex than I expected. In fact, me and Giancarlo Bianchi spent the whole day in understanding how to do it, without gaining a first result.
We are working on the geometrical acoustics, in order to obtain a shape which can reflect the sound the best. After that we will exchange the reflecting surfaces with the RPGs (diffusing).
